Got a table straight away.
Food: 4/5
- The pizza was excellent, and the shrimp starter was amazing. Good value.
- However, the other dishes my partner and I tried were underwhelming—expensive but fairly average in quality.
Service: 2/5
- The service was disappointing. On one occasion, they overcharged me by over £15 for wine. While they did apologize, they cheekily suggested I "fancy something else" for the money they owed me back. This felt unprofessional.
Drinks: 4/5
- The drinks were good, but expensive.
Place: 4/5
- The place is lovely although not as nice as Côte or Coppa.

The roast beef is wonderful and I had a great time eating it😋. The service is lovely and world class especially from Lily. Fair play to the place the food was exquisite and I ate a lot of it I also loved the desserts I will eat here again.

Staff - 5 Star. Happy, friendly, helpful.
Atmosphere - 3.5 Stars. Dining area a bit crammed and overlit. Other areas nice though.
Food - 1 Star - Bland, nasty. Such a shame. Also NOT cheap.

Lovely spot with a warm fireplace and welcoming staff, which made for a cosy atmosphere. We ordered the 'nduja sausage pizza, a bottle of wine, and a gin cocktail. The drinks were excellent, and while the pizza was nice, it wasn’t the best we’ve had. Overall, a pleasant experience, and we’d return for the atmosphere and drinks.

We came here today as a large group of 11 plus 2 babies and the lovely staff accommodated us. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. I had roast beef followed by sticky toffee pudding. I would definitely eat here again.

We booked our Christmas meal (for 9) - the Christmas meal was absolutely fabulous and no-one had any complaints - highly recommend. Great food, great service and lovely ambience (we were in the orangery area).

The food isn’t good- whilst the soda bread was nice it wasn’t served warm which was disappointing. And sorry but for the prices and the outstanding decor and feel, the food is very disappointing. Had the burger and it was a very skinny dry patty, didn’t even finish it. Also chicken chips are overly seasoned in my opinion. Thought it was a really expensive meal where five guys or honest burger would be better!

We went for the first time for lunch there. We did not have the booking so were first looked upon differently and then we were given the table which was not even a table. It was there spare two small tables. The manager came up to me and asked where we were from. I told him and he then said oh I am asking because not manny brown or black people come here. He himself was black and we were brown. I found that so irrelevant and felt very uncomfortable as he probably thought we were not able to afford to eat there. Customer service was not very good. They kept taking our drinks or food to another table as we did not have proper table. My burger was so cold that I only ate quarter of it and left the rest. Chips were cold and disgusting. Overall not very nice experience for the money we paid.

It was a delightful experience! Despite not having a booking, we were warmly welcomed and seated in their lovely garden, which had a charming and relaxed atmosphere.
The service was friendly and attentive. The menu offers a great variety, from starters to mains, including pizza, grill options, and desserts. We opted for burgers and beer, and they did not disappoint—everything was delicious.
Hart Street Tavern is a fantastic spot for a leisurely lunch, whether you're looking for a casual bite or something more substantial. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Popped in last night and even though we were a table of seven Amelia and the rest of the team looked after us very well. I had the pizza which was delicious and the Friday evening vibe was most welcoming. Recommended if you are looking for a restaurant in Henley.

Was quiet but was a Monday lunch. Food was fabulous. Had the dynamite shrimp which were big and juicy and then the small duck salad which was super tasty and plenty of food. Service was very leisurely which was perfect for us. Managed to accommodate my rather fussy in laws. Coffee and dessert were also delicious!

Popped in for lunch, hadn’t booked a table and managed to get a table in the courtyard at the rear of the restaurant. Wide variety of food available. Beer menu was a little restricted with not many lagers. Staff were all very friendly and approachable. I had the pizza and it was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend the venue and the food.

One of the best restaurants in Henley-On-Thames for sure. The pizza along with basically everything on their menu is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. I would 100% recommend eating here :)

Fantastic service and atmosphere. Our Mum thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon drinks and pastries at this establishment for her birthday. What made it really standout was the superb service from Samantha. Samantha is a credit to Hart Street Tavern.

Tough one. It’s a very attractive place on a slow Tuesday lunch. I live and work locally and have wanted to try the burger as for £19 I assumed it would be great. It wasn’t. Average fries. Added points for construction and thin sliced red onion, deductions for added ketchup(!) and shredded lettuce. Didn’t taste charcoal-grilled. Only two draught beers available, both Rebellion. Unfortunate except for the cheery waitress and nice surroundings. Very disappointing hospitality, I so wanted it to be good.

Child size Gnocchi portion, food came before drinks, no pizza base, waitress was rude to my partner and had to chase for several parts of the order. £100 well spent.

Fabulous! So friendly and the perfect level of welcome and good service throughout. Dogs more than welcome with lovely decor with a good space for each table. Food is good quality and you won’t be disappointed.

Nice looking restaurant in Henley. Could be excellent with a few basic improvements. Table was sticky when we sat down, asked staff to clean it which was done quickly. Roast beef Sunday roasts arrived quickly. Good meat and veg, but the gravy was like water, and had already been poured over everything rather than being served separate which is the norm nowadays. I noticed at the entrance the piano looks like it needs a good clean. Generally a nice place, but has room for improvement.

Poor service and food was not good. Waited 40 mins for our drinks with no apology. Meal was not nice but had no chance to say this as they didn’t even bother to check on us once this was received. Won’t be returning

Lovely atmosphere however our breakfast arrived cold and a bit burnt, we had to wait a couple of minutes for our cutlery after the food arrived and our hot drinks turned up once we finished the food….
